Job Title: Physical Therapist Assistant
Department: Rehabilitation Services
Reports To: Director of Rehab (DOR), Staff Physical Therapist
Primary Duties:
The Physical Therapy Assistant is a licensed professional who works under the supervision of a Physical Therapist providing physical therapy care to patients with impaired functional mobility as a result of neuromuscular, musculoskeletal, and/or cardiopulmonary involvement or injury. The assistant directs, administers, and modifies physical therapy patient care programs upon assignment after evaluation by the Physical Therapist of Record. The Physical Therapy Assistant performs administrative duties and maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with treatment location and department procedures, rules, and regulations.
Qualifications:
1. Current California license as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
2. Graduated from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
3. Current CPR or Basic Life Support certification.
