Description

The Assistant Director of Nursing provides direct nursing care to patients, and supervises the day-to-day nursing activities of the facility. Responsibilities include ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the nursing staff, planning and evaluating nursing systems, and making sure that patients are adequately assessed and their care plans executed as directed by their physician and the Director of Nursing Services. Such supervision must be in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility, and as may be required by the Director of Nursing Services, to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is received.

Job Description

The job duties will also include:

managing and directing all licensed staff providing direct patient care; ensuring that patients are properly cared for by the nursing staff, in accordance with individualized assessment and care plans

providing direction and training to nursing staff

providing treatments, including IV management; managing medication disbursement

coordinating care with doctors and regimen of care; ensuring that patient records are properly documented

communicating with families and providers

resolving issues with patients, staff, families and other care providers: and other job duties as directed by your supervisors.

Job Requirements:

Must have current RN license. Full-time position
