Description

The basic function of the Certified Nursing Assistant is to provide routine daily nursing care and services that support the care delivered to patients/residents requiring long-term or rehabilitative care, in accordance with the established nursing care procedures and as directed by your supervisor.

Essential functions include; Provide care as directed by the professional nurse to patients/residents requiring long-term, rehabilitative care or restorative care. Reports observations and other pertinent information related to the care of the

patient/resident. Documents objective information related to patient/resident care.

Provides services that support the care delivered to the patient/resident. Provides input in the formulation and evaluation of standards of care. Participates in the development of unit objectives. Participates in the identification of staff educational needs. Conducts self in a professional manner in compliance with unit and facility policies. Participates in the quality assessment and improvement process, and activities. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
