Description

Responsible for basic care services/ADL such as bathing, grooming, feeding, and checking patient vital signs. Assists patient to ensure their cleanliness in a manner conducive to the patient's comfort and safety. Provide vital information on patient conditions to nurses. Preserve the dignity and self-respect of all patients at all times. Practices confidentiality about the patient and nursing care activities. Promote restorative nursing care as directed and instructed by the Charge Nurse. Performs selected nursing procedures that do not require professional evaluation as assigned and instructed by Charge Nurse. Promptly answers call lights. Transport patient as needed throughout the facility. Assist patients in their recreational and social activities as needed. Recognizes and respect the individual emotion, social, cultural needs, and religious beliefs. Attend orientation and in-service training meetings. Keeps written notes of specific assignments and records pertinent information about the patients. Performs other duties as assigned.
