Description

We are looking for CNA's (Certified Nursing Assistant) to become a part of Golden State Care Center's compassionate care-giving team. The CNA performs a variety of job duties that are related to the direct and indirect care of clients. The CNA will interact directly with clients and assist them in their ADL's (Activities of Daily Living). We are searching for a dedicated, compassionate and energetic individuals to be a vital link between our patients, nurses and other facility staff.

Responsibilities:

Assist clients with daily living activities. This includes assisting during meal time (feed patients as necessary), providing nourishment between meals, programming/daily activities, ambulation, turning and positioning.

Provides patients' personal hygiene by giving urinals, baths, shampoos, and shaves; assisting with travel to the bathroom; helping with showers and baths.

Provides patient comfort by utilizing resources and materials; transporting clients within the facility and/or accompany clients in their appointments; answering patients' call lights and requests; reporting observations of the patient to nursing supervisor.

Assist nurses and other staff as needed.

Document on records as necessary.

Documents actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.

Updates job knowledge by participating in facility training/in-services.

Adhere to professional standards and follow facility policies and procedures.

Maintain regular attendance as an essential job function.

Qualifications:

Valid and current CNA license in the state of California

Valid and current CPR certification

Ability to read, write, understand and communicate in English

Ability to document and maintain records

Ability to work well with others
