Peninsula Post Acute located in Burlingame, California is looking for top notch CNAs. We are an upscale skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility who strives to provide exceptional service to our guests. Our facility is looking for premier people and successful candidates will enjoy the challenge of caring for patients in our short-term units.
The ideal candidate for the CNA position must meet these requirements:The CNA will perform nursing care activities for assigned residents, according to their individualized plan of care and as directed by the licensed nurse.
This will include the following:
Follow the mission statement of Peninsula Post Acute to provide great care to the residence and help them live as full a life as is possible given their specific health.
Provide for residents' personal hygiene: gives baths, showers, back rubs, shaves, nail care, skin care, grooming functions Toilets/assists in bowel and bladder needs: gives bedpans, urinals, assists with toilet/bedside commode use, changes incontinent briefs all with attention to skin care
Assists with dressing Assists with meals and feeds residents, monitors feeding to include passing trays, between meal nourishments, supplements, ice water, measuring intake and output, calorie count, determining percentage of meals eaten
Provide preventative care to include, positioning and repositioning, appropriate application of physical restraints. Ambulates/assists in ambulation to include safe transfer (hoyer lifter and transfer belts) and use of assistive devices (walkers, canes, wheelchairs)
Reports observations of resident to the charge nurse to assure professional assessment
Knows and respects the residents' rights which include reinforcing and protecting each resident's self-image
Demonstrates dependability by being punctual; maintains scheduled attendance
SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Currently licensed as CNA in the State is required
2. Great Customer Service
3. Is listed in good standing as confirmed on the State Department of Professional Credentialing.
4. Possesses excellent technical assessment and documentation skills, and leadership qualities.
5. Possesses good communication skills and is patient and self-disciplined.
6. Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing, and possess sufficient communication skills to perform the tasks required.
7. Demonstrates dependability by being punctual; maintains scheduled attendance
