Description

Qualifications: Food Handler Certification

a: General Knowledge: must be able to read, write and do simple calculations. Must be able to follow and give written and oral instructions.

b: General Abilities: must be able to perform mathematical operations using weight measurement and volume; knowledge of sanitation and safety in handling food and equipment.

d: Physical Requirements: must have the ability to lift up to fifty pounds, work may involve standing in the period of time.

Summary of Responsibilities:

a: Set up trays with properly as indicated on the tray card

b. Prepare hot and cold foods and beverages for residents meals as assigned by Cook or Dietary Supervisor.

c. Serve food meal delivery:

a. Read tray card

b. Place on tray

i. Correct type of beverage; correct type of food, texture as ordered by the diet

ii. Correct portion control; add correct condiments

c. recheck items on tray

d. Assist with social dining service if required
