Description

Aurora Senior Living of Cromwell is a 180 bed Skilled Nursing Long Term Care Facility. Aurora is searching for a Full Time Infection Control Registered Nurse to join our team. Aurora is a Skilled Nursing Home provider that offers both short and long term care and rehabilitation. We are a supportive, team oriented organization looking to change healthcare delivery for the better.

Responsibilities of the role of Infection Control Nurse are but not limited to are as follows:

Collect, analyze and interpret infection-control data

Plan, implement, manage and evaluate infection prevention and control activities

Educate individuals and groups about the risk, prevention, transmission, and control of infection, disease-specific care, appropriate precautions, and appropriate assessments

Establish accepted standards and develop, implement, monitor and revise infection control policies and procedures to assure compliance with the standards

Investigate, manage and conduct surveillance of suspected and confirmed outbreaks of infection

Provide consultation on infection risk assessment, prevention, and control strategies

Requirements

Graduate from an Accredited Registered Nursing Program

Registered Nurse License in Connecticut

2 Plus years of Registered Nurse experience

2 Plus years of Infection Control experience

Staff Development experience a Plus
