Description

Scotland County Residential Terrace has an opportunity available for the position of Level 1 Medication Aide. This position is open to Full-Time, Part-Time, or PRN status. Day and night shifts are available. Applicants must be able to pass a drug test and background screening.

No nursing experience or certification is necessary to apply for this position. Scotland County Care Center will provide training to the right candidate. Upon hire, employee would take a 16 hour training course to become certified. Job duties revolve around providing care to residents of the RCF, which is not part of the skilled nursing facility. Residents of this part of the facility are more independent and do not require hand on assistance with personal care. Level 1 Med Aide would be responsible for passing medications, checking blood sugars, minor housekeeping, helping with meals and other activities, and reporting any issues/care needs to the charge nurse.
