Parkway Hills Nursing & Rehabilitation is currently seeking an energetic, positive LVNs that is passionate about patient continuity of care in our boutique, 60 bed facility. The Licensed Vocational nurse reports to the Director of Nursing, and delivers care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation; and effectively interacts with patient, significant others, and other health team members while maintaining standards of professional nursing. The LVN has the primary responsibility for providing medical services, counseling, supervision and program plan implementation to clients during scheduled shifts within known scope of practice. Direct client care involves the following duties:

%u2022 Consistently demonstrate ability to respond to changing situations in a flexible manner in order to meet current needs, such as re-prioritizing work as necessary.

%u2022 Minimize non-productive time and fill slow periods with activities that will enable you to prepare to meet the future needs of the System (education, organizing, housekeeping, assisting others).

%u2022 Organize job functions and work area to be able to effectively complete varied assignments within established time frames.

%u2022 Consistently demonstrate ability to take the initiative to make decisions/choices without direct supervision.

%u2022 Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of all policies and procedures and ability to reference them from appropriate books and manuals.

%u2022 Comply with the System's infection control policies and procedures including Body Substance Isolation (BSI) and the Exposure Control Plan which reflects OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard to ensure a safe working environment for self and others.

%u2022 Ensure that the System is operated in an efficient and cost effective manner by adhering to System and departmental attendance policies as documented on the Employee Attendance Record.

%u2022 Demonstrate adherence and support of System-Wide Service Standards as evidence by observation and client feedback.

%u2022 Demonstrate adherence to System/Department Complaint Management Standard.
