We currently have an open position for a Maintenance Technician at our Gold Country Health Center located in Placerville California.

JOB DUTIES:

Minimum Job Requirements

- Basic skills in electrical, plumbing, carpentry.

- Sheet rock, mud, texturing, patching, and painting experience.

- Heat and air conditioning maintenance.

- Use of landscape equipment, mower, rider mower, edger, weed eater, blower and hand tools.

- Use of extractor and buffing machines. Stripping and waxing tile floors. Buffing, sweeping, dust moping, wet mopping.

- Use of electrical and hand tools for maintenance.

- Supply of your own tools, if you break or damage a tool the company will replace it.

- Mechanical aptitude, resourcefulness, documentation on work orders.

- Can follow material, chemical and equipment procedures.

- Following instructions either verbal or written and able to lift 50 pounds.

- Ability to express or exchange information by means of the written and oral communications.

- Standing and walking continuously.

- Bending, squatting, lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling, carrying, climbing, and crawling.

- Hand Coordination Factors

- Major: Hand-wrist, hand-eye, simple, firm grasping continuously, up to 8 hours per shift lift/carry/push/pulling items, equipment, supplies or carts. Must use all aspects of major hand coordination.

- Fine: Dexterity, hand, finger, gross, fine manipulation continuously up to 8 hours per shift. Employees must use hand, finger, and gross and fine manipulations during all phases of work.

- Tasks assigned to this position may involve exposure to blood/body fluids. You

may be exposed to the HIV and Hepatitis B viruses. The facility will make

available to the employee, free of charge, the Hepatitis B vaccine.

- Environmental Factors

- Work Space: The workspace is the entire facility and the surrounding grounds.

- Chemicals: Alcohol, Germicidal soaps, body soap, aerosol sprays, cleaning compounds, weed exterminator, insecticides (non-commercial), and housekeeping chemicals.

- Regulations: To follow all safety procedures and company policies.

- Noise: Within normal environmental limits. Noise consists of the sounds of lawnmowers, weed eaters, edgers, rider mowers, blowers, grinders, electrical tools. Inside noise consists of people talking; occasionally yelling by residents may occur. Overhead public address system is used several times a day. Radio communication/ alarms.

- Dust: Sanding, working on the landscape, dust, pollen, floor, and cleaning residue.

- Fumes: Gas fumes filling landscape equipment.

- Odors: Cleaning chemical orders. Odors of urine and feces will be encountered. Beauty shop odors may be encountered.

- Gasses: Possible minor repair of HVAC lines. Oxygen may be present in a resident%u2019s room.

- Vibrations: Electric equipment and landscaping equipment.

- Humidity: Within normal limits.

- Working Surfaces: Tile floors, concrete, carpeting, Formica, countertops, desks, plastic-covered mattresses, beds, tubs. asphalt roof and parking lots, dirt, grass.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Have reliable transportation.

- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally.

- Ability to work effectively and efficiently with little supervision.

- Desire to learn and expand their skills and ability.
