Brookside Inn, a privately owned skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in Castle Rock, is seeking a compassionate and conscientious full-time Maintenance Assistant/Housekeeper to join our team of qualified individuals. We are looking for a professional who is committed to the highest standards of integrity, quality care, and respect for our residents.
Rate of Pay
$16.00 per hour

Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining a clean and safe work environment including, but not limited to: debris/trash removal, heavy lifting/moving of materials and equipment, cleaning, and floor-sweeping and material storage.
- Understand and follow proper safety procedures for company and community, including maintaining cleanliness and protection of work spaces
- Uphold all company policies, goals, and values
- Assist with landscaping and snow removal
- Complete assigned maintenance tasks in a timely manner
- Participate in an ongoing community maintenance and improvement plan
- Follow-up on service requests to assure the highest quality customer satisfaction
- Complete regular maintenance tasks, such as replacing light bulbs, unclogging toilets, etc.
- Inspect and troubleshoot various equipment and systems.
- Report issues resolved, those needing attention, and those currently in progress to supervisor.
- Basic preventative maintenance checks and tasks such as water temperatures, cleaning out the dryer vents, etc.
- Regularly perform housekeeping duties such as deep cleans, daily room cleaning, etc.
- Assist with laundry duties such as washing linens, resident clothing, etc.

- Excellent customer service skills
- High School education or equivalent
- Previous maintenance experience preferred
- Previous long-term care experience preferred
- Sincere desire to serve the elderly
- Able to read, write, and speak the English language
- Able to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant
- Able to deal tactfully with residents, family members, visitors, staff, and the general public%u200B
