Job Title: Staff Physical Therapist
Department: Rehabilitation Services
Reports To: Director of Rehab (DOR)
Supervision Responsibility: Physical Therapy Assistants and Physical Therapy Aide
Primary Duties:
The Staff Physical Therapist is a licensed professional who evaluates plans, directs, and administers medically prescribed physical therapy programs in the facility to restore function and prevent disability following disease, injury, or loss of body part; assists patients to reach their maximum performance and assume a place in society while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities. The Staff Physical Therapist delegates and supervises responsibilities assigned to supportive staff (physical therapy assistant/aide). The staff Physical Therapist performs administrative duties and participates in department Performance Improvement, Infection Control, Safety and Education programs.
An ideal Staff Physical Therapist assistant has practicing experience, but we are willing to consider new graduates excited about physical rehabilitation.
Qualifications:
1. Current California license as a Physical Therapist.
2. Bachelor%u2019s, Master%u2019s, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
3. At least one (1) year of experience as a practicing therapist preferred.
4. Current CPR or Basic Life Support certification.
