Job Title: Staff Occupational Therapist
Department: Rehabilitation Services
Reports To: Director of Rehab (DOR)
Supervision Responsibility: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants
Primary Duties:
The Staff Occupational Therapist is a licensed professional who evaluates plans, directs, and administers medically prescribed Occupational Therapy programs in facilities to restore function and prevent disability following disease, injury, or loss of body part; assists patients to reach their maximum performance and assume a place in society while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities. The staff Occupational Therapist performs administrative duties and participates in department Performance Improvement, Infection Control, Safety, and Education programs.
Qualifications:
1. Current California license as an Occupational Therapist.
2. National Board for Certification Occupational certification, AOTA, and OTAC preferred.
3. Bachelor%u2019s, Master%u2019s, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy.
4. At least one (1) year of experience as a practicing therapist preferred.
5. Current CPR or Basic Life Support certification.
