Description

The primary purpose of the Risk Manager is to plan, organize, develop and direct the Risk Management program of the facility in accordance with current applicable federal, state and local guidelines. Coordinate learning experiences that support quality care consistent with the standards, policies and procedures of the facility. Monitor %u201Cat-risk%u201D residents and their plans of care to ensure quality care that complies with state, federal and corporate standards. Identify and provide support whenever you determine personnel are in need of further education (in either group or one-to one format) or %u201Cat-risk%u201D residents are receiving less than adequate care ultimately placing the facility at risk.

Minimum qualifications include; Registered Nurse. Bachelor of Science degree in nursing preferred but not required. Certification as a Risk Manager preferred but not required. Previous experience in quality assurance, education/risk management preferred. Desire and ability to perform. Experience in long term care preferred but not required.
