Description

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Registered Respiratory Therapist. To qualify you must have a minimum of an Associates Degree in Respiratory Care from a program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC), a valid NYS license as a Respiratory Therapist, and be registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC/RRT). The successful candidate will be responsible for performing cardiopulmonary evaluation, respiratory therapy treatment techniques and education of patient and family; analyzing and interpreting data obtained from physiological specimens; performing diagnostic tests, studies and research of the cardiopulmonary system and sleep studies related to respiratory care; participate in departmental quality and performance improvement programs; documenting all necessary information in patient's electronic medical record; plus all related job duties as assigned. Qualified candidates must be able to communicate and instruct students: we are a Respiratory Care clinical affiliate of both Long Island University and Independence University.
