Description
Responsible for providing direct nursing care to the residents and supervision of nursing activities performed by nursing assistants in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations and company policies and procedures to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times. Contributes to formulation/review of nursing care plans weekly. Performs documentation responsibilities in accordance with company requirements . Charts medications fully, accurately and in a timely manner. Follows facility procedure for administration and counting of narcotics. Orders medications upon admission, new medication orders and per pharmacy re-fill procedures. Completes routine rounds during shift to observe residents.
