Description

Utilizing the nursing process to assess resident care plans, implementing interventions, and evaluating outcomes related to nursing care

Participating in counseling to extent permitted by law

Initiating and leading team conferences to develop individualized healthcare care plans; assessing and documenting resident's condition and nursing needs

Assigning team members who have the capabilities and qualifications to meet resident's needs

Implementing physicians' orders

Administering medications, start IVs, performing treatments, procedures, and special tests and documenting treatment as required by company policy and local/state/federal rules and regulations

Ensuring supplies are used economically and equipment is clean and maintained in a safe manner

Coordinating nursing care of residents scheduled for therapy or procedures by other departments

Reporting and recording observations and reactions regarding residents

Assisting or instituting emergency measures for sudden adverse developments
