Description

- Utilizing the nursing process to assess resident care plans, implementing interventions, and evaluating outcomes related to nursing care

- Participating in counseling to extent permitted by law

- Initiating and leading team conferences to develop individualized healthcare care plans; assessing and documenting resident's condition and nursing needs

- Assigning team members who have the capabilities and qualifications to meet resident's needs

- Implementing physicians' orders

- Administering medications, start IVs, performing treatments, procedures, and special tests and documenting treatment as required by company policy and local/state/federal rules and regulations

- Ensuring supplies are used economically and equipment is clean and maintained in a safe manner

- Coordinating nursing care of residents scheduled for therapy or procedures by other departments

- Reporting and recording observations and reactions regarding residents

- Assisting or instituting emergency measures for sudden adverse developments
