Job Title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
Department: Rehabilitation Services
Reports To: Director of Rehab (DOR), Staff Occupational Therapist, OTR/L
Primary Duties:
The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant is a licensed professional who works under the supervision of the Staff Occupational Therapist. The assistant directs, administers, and modifies occupational therapy patient care programs upon assignment after evaluation by the Staff OT and is able to apply clinical knowledge and skill, or ability to develop knowledge and skills required for treatment of pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric patient populations. The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant performs administrative duties and participates in department Performance Improvement, Infection Control, Safety, and Education Programs as directed.
Qualifications:
1. Current California Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license (AOTA or OTAC preferred)
2. Graduated from an accredited Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
3. Current BLS or CPR certification.
